Outdoor Montenegro runs two full-day 4x4 tours from Podgorica, both 120 € per person. Montenegro Green Roads goes into Biogradska Gora National Park, to the glacial Lake Biograd and over the Bjelasica ridge. Peaks & Pastures crosses the Sinjajevina highland plateau, through shepherd katuns and down to a swim in the Morača canyon. Both leave Podgorica Bus Station at 8:30 and last about 8 hours.

What does a jeep tour day look like?

Both tours follow the same rhythm: meet at Podgorica Bus Station at 8:30, drive the highway to Kolašin, breakfast at a local farm around 9:30, the main drive and sightseeing in the middle of the day, lunch, and back in Podgorica by 18:00. Here is the exact schedule of each tour.

Both jeep tours cost 120 € per person for the full day, with a family discount for groups of 5 or more. The price covers a licensed guide, jeep transport with an experienced driver, breakfast and lunch, travel insurance and souvenir photos. The only cost not included is getting yourself to the meeting point.

I'll take you to local pastures, highland katuns where life still moves at its own pace — and show you the active side of Montenegro that's waiting to be explored.

Choose Montenegro Green Roads if you want Biogradska Gora National Park — an easy 1.5-hour walk around the glacial Lake Biograd and a panoramic drive along the Bjelasica ridge. Choose Peaks & Pastures if you want photography, the Sinjajevina highland plateau, shepherd katuns and a swim in the Morača canyon.

Both tours start at Podgorica Bus Station at 8:30 in the morning, where your guide and driver will be waiting with the jeeps. Getting yourself to the bus station is not included in the price.

Each tour is a full day of about 8 hours. You leave Podgorica at 8:30 and are back at the bus station between 17:30 and 18:00.

Yes. Both tours include a homemade breakfast at a local farm and a lunch — an outdoor lunch in the mountains on the Green Roads tour, and a farm lunch on the Peaks & Pastures tour.

No special fitness is needed — you spend most of the day in the jeep. The minimum age is 7 years and both tours are family-friendly; on the Green Roads tour the walk around Lake Biograd is an easy, flat 1.5-hour loop.

Comfortable clothes and sturdy shoes (sneakers are fine), plus a light jacket — the highlands are cooler than the coast even in summer. Bring sunscreen, a hat and a camera; for the Peaks & Pastures tour also swimwear and a towel for the canyon swim.

In severe weather a tour is rescheduled or refunded. Light rain does not stop us, and mountain weather changes quickly, so we recommend packing a light rain jacket.
